DESCRIPTION OF WORKSHOP:   Have questions about the Covid-19 vaccine, the Delta variant and your youth? Dr. Jane Kelly, the Assistant State Epidemiologist with the Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC) will provide updates on the vaccine and answer your questions.

This training will cover:

• Basic background statistics: where is SC in this pandemic? Rates of new cases, deaths, % vaccinated

• Variants

• Three vaccines available: what to know about them

• What about side effects e.g., myocarditis, allergic reactions

• When to get vaccine if had COVID or in quarantine

• Third doses (for immunocompromised) and boosters for Pfizer, Moderna, J&J

• Can you mix and match vaccines?
