A sweet teenager whose smile and laugh are infectious, Emily loves music and enjoys it by using her whole body. She has her own opinions and expresses them freely—her family often catches her rolling her eyes at them. Emily is a hard worker who is honest and affectionate to those she cares about.

Emily was born with hyptonia (low muscle tone) and feeding difficulties. She was diagnosed with autism at 19 months and is non-verbal. At 29 months, she learned to walk.

Today, Emily enjoys swinging, listening to music, and watching YouTube videos. She loves to read. Her mom says Emily is the hardest worker she knows!

“Emily has made us more patient, intentional, and empathetic” she explains. “We hope others see the beauty we see in her!”
