If you ask Faith where she would like to live, she will likely tell you it would be outside—and probably in a tree. She is fascinated by and loves everything about trees, including the squirrels who play in them.
Nature and the outdoors have always been a source of comfort and happiness for Faith. Her favorite places to visit include the mountains and the beach. When indoors, she enjoys journaling, drawing, learning about history, and tackling challenging math problems. She adores watching and practicing gymnastics.
Faith has multiple diagnoses including ADHD, anxiety, an unnamed blood clotting disorder, and hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, which causes loose, unstable joints that dislocate easily. Her family is inspired by her positive, bubbly attitude and her friendly, giving spirit which prevails over her challenges. One of her favorite books is The Wonderful Things You Will Be. The book mentions a child whose spirit is “so brave and bright, no shadows can stay”—a child, like Faith.
“Whether it is introducing herself to a new delivery person at home, or writing a holiday note to her classmates to tell them they are a gift to her, Faith is always ready to spread joy and share life with others”, her mom, Sharon, says.
