The intent of LOOK! is to highlight the abilities of the person being photographed and to help those viewing the photos to pause, reflect and see disability in a different way. It is a beautiful collection that speaks to our goals of creating inclusion, equity, and community.

To create the event,  professional photographers from across the state volunteer their time for photo sessions to capture the spirit of the children and their families. The photos feature active, candid moments of the participants doing the things they like to do best.

The opening reception for LOOK! 2024 was held on Sunday, June 2nd at the Richland County Library in downtown Columbia. The exhibit will be traveling to additional venues throughout the year–check back for details!
