Furman Ready Transition Workshop
SATURDAY, MARCH 22, 2025
9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Transitioning from high school to college can be challenging, and students
with disabilities may require additional support. At Furman, we understand
the significance of this experience and are here to assist every step of the
way. Our Furman Ready workshop is designed to provide essential
information and resources to help make this transition smoother and more
manageable, focusing on what students with disabilities would benefit from
knowing before arriving on campus.
Furman Ready is designed for any student with a disability (ADHD, Learning
Disabilities, Mental Health Disorders, Medical Conditions, ASD, Sensory
Impairments, etc.), an IEP or a 504 Plan who wants support navigating the
college experience.
Furman Ready takes place on campus the same weekend as Furman Forward,
the university’s accepted student event. Students will have the weekend to
experience the Furman community, explore our beautiful campus and
participate in this complimentary workshop, made possible through funding
by Brig. Gen. James J. Burks ’89 and Mrs. Valarie S. Burks ’89.
