Family Connection of South Carolina joins Special Education Parent Advisory Council
(Columbia, SC) — Family Connection of South Carolina is proud to join The Special Services Department of Lexington One School District’s Parent Advisory Council. The Family Engagement Center at the University of South Carolina, along with parents of students with disabilities, will also be members of the council.
The purpose of the Special Education Parent Advisory Council (SEPAC) is to promote the support, respect, and understanding of all children with disabilities in Lexington District One. The advisory council will not only advocate for children with disabilities but will also provide input on district special education programs.
Family Connection looks forward to working with the council and recognizes this is a great opportunity for the school district and community to work together to improve outcomes for students.
