The intent of LOOK! is to highlight the abilities of the person being photographed and to help those viewing the photos to pause, reflect and see disability in a different way. It is a beautiful collection that speaks to our goal of creating strong community.

To create the event,  professional photographers from across the state volunteer their time for photo sessions to capture the spirit of the children and their families. The photos feature active, candid moments of the participants doing the things they like to do best.

Currently the LOOK! 2024 collection is on display at The Children’s Museum of the Upstate in Greenville through the spring of 2025.

Photo sessions for LOOK! 2025 will begin in the fall of 2024.  LOOK! includes families and photographers from across the state. Family Connection is delighted to share the following announcements about LOOK! 2025: 

• • The opening reception for participating families and photographers will will take place on July 13 at 701 Whaley.
• • Groucho’s Deli is the Presenting Sponsor.
• • Intisar Faulkner of WIS-TV will serve as event emcee.
• • The photos will be on display for the public starting July 15 at the Belk Court at Columbia Centre Mall on Harbison Boulevard.
• • Additional Venues across the state will be hosting the exhibit beginning in August.
