Logan is a smart, loving, funny, joyous, mischievous toddler who can also be described as a little firecracker. He loves singing and animals, naturally making him a big fan of Happy Feet 2. He also loves walking in his gait trainer, playing peek-a-boo, and giving and receiving kisses. Logan always knows what to do to make your day better. His big smiles and silly giggles will light up any room he is in.
Cardiac arrest and respiratory distress at birth, resulted in a brain injury (HIE), causing Logan to be diagnosed with epilepsy, cerebral palsy, a rare seizure disorder called Infantile Spasms, as well as many other secondary issues. The first year and a half of his life was riddled with tens of thousands of seizures, and through it all he never lost his loving personality or big, beautiful smile.
Logan’s sheer determination and amazing work ethic inspires his family every day. Through Logan, they have learned much about love and how to slow down and appreciate everything around them.
Logan will never let his disability define what he can and can’t achieve; it may just take him a little longer to do so. With what he has been through and the severity of his injury, it is a miracle to have progressed this far in such a short period of time. It is no wonder his nickname is “Limitless Logan.”
Logan es un niño inteligente, cariñoso, divertido, alegre y travieso que también puede describirse como un pequeño petardo. Le encanta cantar y los animales, lo que naturalmente le convierte en un gran fan de Happy Feet 2. También le encanta caminar en su andador, jugar al escondite y dar y recibir besos. Logan siempre sabe qué hacer para mejorar tu día. Sus grandes sonrisas y risas tontas iluminan cualquier habitación en la que se encuentre.
La parada cardíaca y la dificultad respiratoria al nacer le provocaron una lesión cerebral (HIE), lo que hizo que a Logan se le diagnosticara epilepsia, parálisis cerebral, un raro trastorno convulsivo llamado espasmos infantiles, así como muchos otros problemas secundarios.El primer año y medio de su vida estuvo plagado de decenas de miles de convulsiones, y a pesar de todo nunca perdió su personalidad cariñosa ni su gran y hermosa sonrisa.
La determinación y la increíble ética de trabajo de Logan inspiran a su familia cada día. A través de Logan, han aprendido mucho sobre el amor y sobre cómo frenar y apreciar todo lo que les rodea.
Logan nunca dejará que su discapacidad defina lo que puede y lo que no puede lograr; sólo puede tardar un poco más en hacerlo. Con lo que ha pasado y la gravedad de su lesión, es un milagro haber progresado tanto en tan poco tiempo. No es de extrañar que su apodo sea “Logan sin límites”.
