Stephanie is a happy and smiling little girl. She enjoys time with her family and is fun to be around. She especially enjoys toys that play music because music makes her incredibly happy. She loves Spanish lullabies, and she tries to dance while sitting in her wheelchair. She also loves to be center of attention, and her siblings do their best to make her feel happy.
At seven months old, Stephanie suffered brain damage after a high fever and seizure episode. Her medical team was not sure if she would be able to walk or talk. Today, she is doing well in her therapies and is able to sit and to talk—she loves to say “Mama”. Despite her challenges, her mother, Angelica, says Stephanie is strong and resilient. She is a cheerful girl who is progressing toward milestones every day.
This little fighter is showing her family how to be strong. “Stephanie is our little princess—a unique angel who teaches us to work together, fight for her together, and have faith in her abilities because she will always surprise us with her efforts and her smiles.”
