Skylah is a strong-willed, bubbly girl who doesn’t let anything slow her down.
Happy, kind-hearted, and loving, Skylah is a great friend who shows empathy to those around her. She has a rare condition of congenital central hypoventilation syndrome as well as autism. Never letting her medical needs slow her down, Skylah lives her life to the fullest with a smile on her face.
Skylah maintains her spot on the honor roll even though she has missed a lot of school. In her free time, she loves doing anything related to arts and crafts, especially drawing. She is becoming particularly skilled at digital drawing. She also likes to hang out with her adult siblings and play fetch with her dog.
“Skylah has shown us the true meaning of never giving up,” her mom says. “We’ve seen her overcome struggles in ways none of us thought were possible. She’s changed our lives by challenging us to see the positive in so many situations.”

Alegre, de buen corazón y cariñosa, Skylah es una gran amiga que muestra empatía con quienes la rodean. Tiene una rara condición de síndrome de hipoventilación central congénita, así como autismo. Skylah nunca deja que sus necesidades médicas la frenen, y vive su vida al máximo con una sonrisa en la cara.
Skylah mantiene su puesto en el cuadro de honor a pesar de haber faltado mucho a la escuela. En su tiempo libre, le encanta hacer todo lo relacionado con las artes y las manualidades, especialmente el dibujo. Se está volviendo especialmente hábil en el dibujo digital. También le gusta pasar el rato con sus hermanos adultos y jugar a la pelota con su perro.
“Skylah nos ha mostrado el verdadero significado de no rendirse nunca”, dice su madre. “La hemos visto superar las dificultades de una manera que ninguno de nosotros creía posible. Ha cambiado nuestras vidas al desafiarnos a ver lo positivo en muchas situaciones.”
